Orange County man sentenced in Sullivan County Court for ramming ex-girlfriend’s car

MONTICELLO – Salisbury Mills resident Dean Davis was sentenced in Sullivan County Court in Monticello Thursday to a total of 14 2/3rd and 21 years in state prison.

Davis, 40, pled guilty to attempted assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree and criminal contempt in the first degree.

Davis waited for his estranged girlfriend when she arrived for work at the Center for Discovery in Harris and repeatedly rammed his car into hers until it became disabled. Their seven-month-old child was in the car. When she got out, Davis tried to run her over.

Davis ran into a wooded area. He was later found hiding in a trailer at an old scrap metal plant.
