Traffic stop leads to drug charge

PHILMONT – A routine traffic check in the Village of Philmont on Christmas Day resulted in a drug possession charge against the driver.    

Troopers stopped Nathan Jennings, 20, of Claverack and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for possession Hydrocodone pills.   He was also charged with a violation of the public health law for possession prescription drugs outside the original container.

Jennings was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Philmont Village Court.
