Hayworth continues meet-and-greet sessions, wins early endorsement from former county exec

Hayworth all smiles as she meets Repubicans in Goshen

GOSHEN – Republican 19th Congressional District candidate Dr. Nan Hayworth met with a number of public officials in Goshen Thursday night in the latest of her meet-and-greet sessions being held around the district.

She is hoping to challenge Democratic incumbent John Hall in November 2010.

Hayworth told the three dozen invited guests that the nation is at the inception of a new American revolution.

“The first American Revolution, as we know, was prosecuted against King George III and his out of control parliament, and today we have King Barack and his out of control congress,” she said.

Hayworth picked up the endorsement of former Orange County Executive Louis Heimbach, who said in a letter that she has “an excellent grasp of the issues.”

She said she was proud to have his endorsement.

“He is a revered man in Orange County.”

Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun said Hayworth is “the right person” for the job.

Among the other political officials at the session was Orange County Conservative Party Chairman John DeLessio.
