Roscoe alumnus returns to his alma mater as superintendent of schools

ROSCOE – John Evans graduated from Roscoe High School in 1989 and now he is the superintendent of the Roscoe School District.  Evans, who lives in Livingston Manor, will officially take over the reins on January 9.

Evans began his educational career in 1994 as a technical education teacher at the Hammondsport Central School in Hammondsport, NY.  After a year, Evans returned home to teach technology education at Livingston manor Central School, where he would be promoted to director of technology.

In 2006, he became Junior/Senior High School assistant principal at Fallsburg Central Schools. From there he became district assistant principal for technology and instruction and then was appointed to his current position of assistant superintendant for technology and student information.
