| Eggleton named executive director of Boys and Girls Clubs |
|
WALLKILL – Sullivan County Legislative Aide and Chairwoman of the 2009 Sullivan County Bicentennial Celebration, Alexis Eggleton, has been named executive director of the Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club, Inc. That group serves the Town of Wallkill, Pine Bush and Sullivan County. In Sullivan, the Monticello and Fallsburg school districts participate and after the first of the year, Liberty will be joining. “The purpose of the club is to provide safe, structured after school and weekend and summer supervision for children,” Eggleton said. “So many of our families have both parents who are out in the workforce and this allows us to provide a safe environment for those children with some structured academic assistance and leadership and self-esteem building classes built right in.” Eggleton will start her new job on January 4. Boys and Girls Clubs’ Board of Directors President Paul Anderson-Winchell said Eggleton will bring to the position “her passion” for the movement along with “her exceptional organizational abilities and a tremendous work ethic.” |
