ELLENVILLE – A family nurse practitioner has been elected president of the medical staff at Ellenville Regional Hospital in Ellenville.

As a family nurse practitioner serving as clinical director within the Department of Emergency Medicine, Robert Donaldson is one of the first nurse practitioners known to be elected president of a medical staff in the country and is the first elected to that post at Ellenville.  

In addition to his role at ERH, Donaldson provides Emergency Department care at Margaretville Memorial Hospital, Margaretville, and St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Yonkers.

Donaldson is a resident of Ulster County.
