Troopers investigate mailbox vandalism

SOUTHEAST -- State Police at the Brewster barracks have been investigating a series of criminal mischief acts in the Town of Southeast.

Mailboxes along the a number of area roads, including Tillman, North Salem, Allview, Turk Hill and Carriage Hill, were found ripped out of the ground, destroyed, and in one case used to damage a parked vehicle.

Complainants have indicated a suspect vehicle had a very loud muffler.
