Several accidents as first significant snowfall blankets region

MID-HUDSON – The first snowfall of the season that covered roadways resulted in several accidents across the Mid-Hudson Valley from late Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning.

Vehicles slid off roadways into utility poles, guide rails and other vehicles.

Accidents were reported in Cornwall, Cornwall-on-Hudson, Pine Bush, Warwick, Blooming Grove, Montgomery, Fallsburg, along the Taconic State Parkway and in other locations.

There were no reports of any major injuries.

This was actually the second snowfall of the season. In October, areas of the region received a dusting of snow that covered grassy areas.
