Ulster Jail inmate throws liquid at other inmate

KINGSTON – An inmate at the Ulster County Jail in Kingston has been charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation, after he threw a liquid at another inmate, hitting him on the arm and chest.  Christopher Arrotta, 21, who is in jail on unrelated charges, told the other inmate the substance was urine.

The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on November 29 while the other inmate, acting as a trustee, was attempting to retrieve Arrotta’s dinner tray from his cell.

Arrotta is currently serving time for grand larceny in the fourth degree.
