Man killed in crash with truck after running yield sign

KINDERHOOK – A Liverpool man, who was driving a car that drove past a yield sign from Columbia County Route 21B onto Route 203, was killed when his vehicle was struck by a large box truck, State Police at Livingston said. Both vehicles came to rest in a field.

Aaron Cortright, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other passengers in his car had to be extricated and were taken to Albany Medical Center.

The driver of the truck, a 39-year-old Watervliet man, was not injured.

Route 203 was closed for five hours after the crash.
