Missing woman found in New York City

NEW YORK – A New City woman, who reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder and left her family’s summer home in Bethel last Sunday has been found safe and sound in New York City, Sullivan County Sheriff Michael Schiff said Wednesday.

Lisa Feingold, 42, had been seen on Route 55 heading toward Liberty leading deputies to conduct an informational road check in Swan Lake on Monday.

From that, police developed information that she may have boarded a ShortLine bus bound for New York City. Using Liberty Police street surveillance cameras, authorities confirmed she did in fact get on a bus at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Detectives tracked down her credit card and found out it had been used at several ATMs in Manhattan.

By plotting the ATM transactions on a map, Detective Sgt. Don Starner was able to pinpoint the neighborhood in which her card had been used.

On Wednesday, he contacted NYPD detected and within an hour, they had located Ms. Feingold at a restaurant on 14th Street.
She was taken to Bellevue Hospital as a precaution.
