| Four charged with breaking into restaurant, stealing booze, safe |

| GLASCO – A 16-year-old and 17-year-old
and two 15-year-old juveniles, all from Glasco, were arrested in connection
with burglaries at Gisiano’s Restaurant in Glasco. The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said that in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 20, the two older teens, Melissa Neglia, 16, and Dussan Echalar, 17, allegedly broke into the restaurant and removed several liquor bottles from inside. The two juveniles remained outside as lookouts and assisted in removal of the liquor. Neglia and Echalar returned to the establishment later that morning. After cutting wires to the lottery machine and security cameras, they removed a safe containing cash, as well as a cash register and the lottery machine, police charge. The safe, cash register and lottery machine were later located in the rear of Neglia’s home in a damaged condition. Neglia and Echalar were charged with the felonies of burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief, and the misdemeanors of criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy. They were both arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail, Neglia on $5,000 bail and Echalar on $10,000 bail. Both juveniles were issued appearance tickets for criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy. |
