Federal funds targeted for area transportation projects

ALBANY – Nine projects in the Hudson Valley will receive federal funding that is channeled from the state.

  • The Town of Kinderhook will receive $552,936 for the Kinderhook Recreational Trail phase two.
  • $340,000 will be applied to purchase land for Middletown and New Jersey Railway company acquisition in the towns of Minisink and Wawayanda for a future rail trail.
  • The Kent Revitalization Project in the Town of Kent will receive $1.6 million to improve pedestrian and bicycle access.
  • $2.5 million will go for the Main-Broadway Streetscape Improvement project, phase two, in the Village of Haverstraw.
  • $1.25 million will go for the Annsville Circle Pedestrian Path in the Town of Cortlandt.
  • $1.2 million will be applied for the Croton Harmon Parking Facility Pedestrian and Bicycle Enhancements in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson.
  • $480,000 will be applied for the Wassaic Trail to the Train in the Town of Amenia.
