Fishkill Creek Watershed Committee
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: East Fishkill Community Library, Rt. 376, Hopewell Junction
Monthly meeting, every first Monday of the month.

Our mission is to encourage individuals and entities, both public and private, to work for the protection of the natural environment within the Fishkill Creek Watershed.

The watershed covers over 190 square miles from Millbrook to Beacon.

Hudson River Ramble 2003 - Tivoli Events
Tivoli Bays Visitor Center - Prewalk preview - 9am in Village Hall. All new exhibit "Doorway to the Bays". Free.

Tivoli Bays Trail Walk - cosponsored by Village of Tivoli and Hudson River Research Reserve
-Overlook Walk: 9:30 -11 am., 1.6 miles. Village Hall to Kidd Lane. Shuttle return. Free. Reservations: 845-757-2021.
-North Bay Walk: 9:30 am -1:30 pm. 3 miles. Village Hall to Cruger Lane. Shuttle return. Free. Bring lunch. Reservations: 845- 757-2021.

South Bay Walk: 3:30 - 5 pm. 1.5 miles. Bard College to South Bay along Saw Kill Trail. Walk bay at low tide. Slippery and muddy! Loop walk. Free. Limit 12 walkers. Reservations: 845-758-7012


Polo and barbeque fundraiser
Time: 12:00pm
Location: Buckleigh Polo Farm on Route 302 in Pine Bush
Pine Bush High School, Academy Of Finance will hold a fundraising Event on September 20th (raindate September 21st).

The doors will open at noon and tickets are $7.00 for adults, Students 6-16 are $5.00 and children under 6 are FREE.

A chicken bar-b-que will also be held with tickets on sale for $8.00 per dinner. You can also purchase a combined ticket for admission and the POLO match for the low price of $14.00. Only 200 chickens will be served.

Richard W. Mitchell Scholarship Golf tournament
Time: 10:00am
Location: The Links at Union Vale
The 3rd Annual Richard W. Mitchell Scholarship Golf tournament hosted by the Poughkeepsie Area Chamber of Comerce will be held this year on Tuesday, September 23rd (raindate September 30th). Teams are now being formed.

Spend a day on the championship golf course of The Links. Enjoy a scramble format beginning with a shot gun start. The cost is only $135 per player and includes a full day of golf, lunch, prizes and more. The driving range opens at 9:00 am; registration begins at 10:00 am. Shot gun start is at 11:00 am with a reception afterwards at 4:30 PM.

The proceeds from this tournament benefit the Richard W. Mitchell Scholarship Fund that awards area students overcoming physical and economic hardships with educational funds. Thi...[more details]
