GSDCC dedication, open house
Time: 10:00am
Location: 2582 South Avenue in Wappingers Falls
Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce will dedicate its new building to the late Mr. Norman Nussbickel and his family. The dedication ceremony will be followed by the ribbon cutting, which will be led by Dutchess County Executive William Steinhaus.

Later at 11:30 AM, our open house will officially begin and will continue through much of the day, ending at 5:30 PM.

Sponsored by Dash Lock and Key, this daylong event is free of charge, and the public is urged to attend to tour the building and meet the staff.

Field Corn Management Meeting
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Gary Johnson s Rented Land in Chester, NY
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County will host the Field Corn Management meeting on June 25.

Please bring your pesticide certification number to register for the two re-certification credits.

The purpose of this field meeting is to demonstrate how to look for corn insect pests and diseases and how to control them. Topics will include: Use of Pre-sidedness Nitrate Soil Test (PSNT) for Your Field Corn and Early Season Field Corn Insect Pests and Diseases. Presenters will include Ken Wise, Cornell University Eastern NYS IPM Educator and Larry Hulle, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County Dairy Science Educator.
