Vladimir Pleshakov lecture/concert on Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff
Time: 8:00pm
Location: Foundation's Performing Arts Center (Red Barn), Main Street, Route 23A, Hunter
Internationally renowned performing artist, Vladimir Pleshakov, will present the third and last in a series of three lecture-concerts at the Catskill Mountain Foundation in Hunter, titled "The Piano - King of Instruments." Vladimir Pleshakov plays the piano and tells the story of the men and women behind the music and the instrument - the human story of the times, the people and their struggles behind the music they left for us to cherish and enjoy. Pleshakov has the rare ability to explain succinctly and captivatingly to non-musicians the very nature of music.

"Pleshakov entertains with witty and informative talk, coupled with astounding pianism." (Albany Times Union).

Tickets for the lecture-concerts are $15 each general admission, $12 for subscribers and $10 for member/subscribers. Reservations are recommended as these events sell out! For information and reservations, please call 518-263-4908 x202. This concert is made possible in part through a donation from Jarvis & Constance Doctorow, a grant from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and the Presenting Organizations Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
